INTERNATIONAL CERAMICS COMPETITION

The vampire is a supernatural creature which craves for … blood …

We are all, or almost, potential vampires because we all crave something … Romanticism, emotions, creation, pleasure, adventure … feelings that sometimes lead us to do senseless acts but always bring us to a goal . For the artists, these feelings develop and sublimate in the need for creativity.

The theme is therefore much broader than it appears in the title …
In your works, and this will be a criterion of selection, we must feel the passion that carries you.
It will also be necessary, even very discreetly, that appears at least a figurative but symbolic element of the vampire.

The jury will be composed of members chosen from the artistic entourage (artists, art critics, gallery owners …) and in the institutional environment.

• 1st Prize : 500€ +  1 residency of one month in our studio + the direction of a paid workshop + exhibition in the Museum Terra Rossa ( one month ) in 2018
• 2nd Prize : 350€ + 1 month residency +  exhibition in the Museum Terra Rossa ( one month ) in 2018
• 3rd Prize :  exhibition in the Museum Terra Rossa (one month ) in 2018
• « Public » Special prize : One Masterclass workshop of your choice in 2018

We want exceptional pieces so it’s a challenge … Surpass yourself!

From 30 to 50 works will be selected. They will be exhibited* at the Terra Rossa Museum in Salernes during the exhibition period of its International Bienale of Contemporary Art, which is during the summertime. The exact dates will be communicated later.

1st step : application (deadline : 15th of April 2017)
2d step : sending photos of the finalized piece, accompanied by a text illustrating the artistic approach (deadline : 30 May 2017)
3rd step : results ‘communication (list of selected candidates on our website : 5th of June 2017)
4th step : shipment of your work (receipt deadline : 25th of June 2017)

Registration fees (mandatory and non-refundable in case of withdrawal): 35 €, payable by card via Paypal (by clicking on the PAYPAL button at the top of the registration form) or exceptionally by check (France only). Registration will only be processed upon receipt of payment. The cost includes the annual membership fee.
