Ceramic Cafe
The concept is to decorate pieces that have already been bisque-fired (i.e. fired once already) using coloured liquid slips to create a personalised design, over which a clear glaze will then be applied. A firing will be needed to set the colours and fuse the glaze.
At the start of the session, you'll choose the piece you'd like to purchase and then decorate. We have a selection of cups, mugs of various sizes, small jugs, large tumblers, glasses, trivets, plates, small bowls and dishes.
During the session, we'll offer you a coffee, tea or herbal infusion of your choice, along with a treat.
You can book for special occasions (birthdays, hen parties, group outings with friends, etc.).
Rates:
- 1H: €22
- 2H: €44
Even though this technique doesn't require drying time, if you're visiting for a short stay we recommend scheduling the session early in your trip so we can complete the firing before you leave (one firing = 24h in the kiln).
Given the steep rise in electricity costs, a small contribution will be requested for firing, depending on the volume of the pieces.
